Hayley Luckhurst
Ballet Specialist
Hayley has been part of the skating world since she was just over a year old. As a member of Skate Canada and more recently, USFS, Hayley has achieved several Gold Tests in both countries. She is a triple Gold Test Medalist in Ice Dance, Skating Skills, and Singles Interpretive with Skate Canada. In the past two years, Hayley has become a USFS double Gold Test Medalist in Partnered Ice Dance and Solo Free Dance. She has completed three of the USFS International Partnered Dances and is working towards completing the set, the Gold Skills Test and the Partnered Free Dance Test. A former Sectional Juvenile Dance competitor in Skate Canada, Hayley now competes in the USFS National Solo Dance Series at the Senior level.
To complement her skating, Hayley trained extensively in various styles of dance, concentrating primarily on ballet. Studying the Cecchetti Ballet Method and the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi, Hayley passed her Grade IV examinations in both. Through The British Association of Teachers of Dance, she also was awarded her Premier Award in Tap and Blue Ribband Award in Jazz. Not only did she compete at the National level in Tap, but she auditioned for and was successful in being awarded various roles with the St. Clair Youth Ballet and Ballet Jörgen’s versions of The Nutcracker and Ballet Jorgen’s version of Romeo & Juliet.
As a USFS Professional skating coach, Hayley has developed her own ballet syllabus specifically geared for figure skaters. Her syllabus is primarily based off of the Cecchetti Ballet Method and incorporates some aspects of the Royal Academy of Dance. She has been teaching ballet to skaters of all levels and ages for the past two years.
Anna Walker
Pilates Instructor
Anna has been an athlete her entire life starting dance at 3 years old, and competed in various styles of dance until the age of 18. Pilates became a huge passion of hers 6 years ago as it felt like a match for her experience in ballet. She is a Balanced Body Certified instructor and teaches both reformer and mat Pilates. Anna is very passionate about coaching young athletes, helping them build strength and expand body awareness. She also has a background in childcare. This has been a useful tool in teaching the younger generation in ways that build their confidence with their physical abilities.
